One in 10 children were in the system last year!

Referrals to children and young people’s mental health services surged by almost 10% last year!
This is the biggest annual increase recorded by the Children’s Commissioner for England, Dame Rachel de Souza!
Her latest report found that 1,048,965 children in England had an active referral in 2024/25, rising from around 958,200 the year before – meaning roughly one in 10 children were in the system last year.
