Volunteer mentoring

Just before lockdown in March 2020 I spent the morning with pupils at Aston Fields Middle School in Bromsgrove talking to them about what inspired me to set up the children’s charity Mentor Link. I asked the pupils to write something about how volunteer mentoring can really help children during difficult times in their lives and here are some of their ideas…………

“An hour of your time will help lives like mine. Join now!”
“They would feel better talking to someone that has been through the same things”
“If you care about children, you will want them to be happy, then you will be able to talk about why they are sad.”
