Caiden’s Story

This is the story of Mentee Caiden and his Mentor Pete.

Caiden’s story is one that is full of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), with his life experience being both traumatic and unstable, including being in the care system from a very young age and a life-threatening dog attack aged 3.

As he is now 17, Caiden is happy to appear as himself to tell his story. The children we support form the focus of our work, so what better reflection of the impact we can have than their own stories of what mentoring and their Mentor has meant to them.
