About Us

Mentor Link has been in operation for over 23 years and provides a one to one mentoring service to children facing social or emotional difficulties in school. We provide dedicated long term listening and therapeutic support from a  safely recruited and professionally trained mentor. The aim of mentoring is to listen to the voice of the child, offer guidance and support and improve their self- esteem and engagement in learning. Over our long history we have many success stories and case studies of children that have benefitted from our service, as one parent writes, ” This is a great service for young people.  Schools do not have the resources to support young people when they are struggling.  The Mentor Link process was simple and stress free.  Chris is a lovely man and Jack has really enjoyed spending time with him.  He has helped Jack to get through his GCSEs stress free and Jack is now looking forward to the next chapter in his life. Thank you to you all but especially thank you to Chris for your time.”

Recently we have launched our new EBSA project around supporting children back into learning after periods of absence or with low attendance rates. Our mentors are supervised and trained by our two Educational Psychologists in low level CBT and systemic desensitisation.

We support children in Primary and High schools and currently providing a service to schools from Staffordshire in the North to Gloucestershire in the South.

We welcome enquiries from schools, young people, parents, Children’s services, GPs etc, so for further information contact Enquiries@mentorlink.org.uk or call 01299 822336.
