House of Commons Visit

On Wednesday 11th July, our CEO Andrea Maddocks MBE was invited to another All Party Parliamentary Group meeting on mentoring at the House of Commons, organised by the Diana Award.

This time, she had been asked to bring someone along who had benefitted from mentoring. Marissa was one of our first mentees from 2003, and has now become a mentor for the charity supporting a young girl at a local school. Andrea presented to the group, and then Marissa gave her story to a round of applause. She said she was “hoping me being there will make a difference to show what you lot do – which is just amazing.”
