Male Mentors needed

At Mentor Link we are always busy recruiting volunteer mentors, and we particularly need male role models for the boys referred to our service. We have some fantastic mentors and as one of them – Jim writes,

“ I’m really impressed with everything about Mentor Link . The people, support and the training are very good. It’s a great service that is clearly needed. I mentor 2 lads and have found it really rewarding. I enjoy it and I feel they both do also. Since starting mentoring one has: applied for and become a prefect, his band has won the school Xmas talent show, he has emailed the college he wants to go to and struck up a rapport with them and clarified his entry criteria, he has performed at the Mars bar and got a weekend job. This are not all down to me at all – they are down to him, but I do feel I have nudged him in the right direction and given him the confidence to put himself forward. He has then been successful which has made him more proactive himself.

But overall I’m loving it and really glad I signed up. ”
