Dave Seddon OBE is a retired Principal of Baxter College Academy who won Head Teacher of the Year and Public Servant of the Year, and during his time there the College won several major awards for improvement. Prior to teaching Dave was a Community Director in Walsall, Recreation Development Officer and a professional footballer for Rochdale playing at Wembley in 2 Cup Finals.

Robert (Bob) Hart

Chartered Educational Psychologist

Bob Hart (Chairman) is a Chartered Educational Psychologist and prior to retirement was responsible for all of the Authority’s support services, reporting to the Director of Education. Following early retirement he worked as an Associate Board Psychologist for South Birmingham Mental Health Trust and as a Locum LEA psychologist and was a Registered Ofsted Inspector.

Mark Stebbings

Treasurer
Financial Advisor

Mark Stebbings (Treasurer) has excellent coaching and analytical skills with extensive knowledge of complex mortgage regulation and adhering to Financial Conduct Authority rules. With significant experience within Banking and Finance Mark has a Diploma in Retail Banking, and is also studying for 2nd part of DIMAP.

In 2002 I set up a children’s charity Mentor Link as a small local charity in the Wyre Forest. Fourteen years on the charity now supports around 400 children and young people in the West Midlands area each year and has 150 volunteer mentors who provide dedicated support.
In 2011 I was awarded an MBE for services to children and young people and the Voluntary Sector and remain both proud of the charity that I set up and committed to supporting distressed children and young people.

Sian Conway

Sian brings to the charity a wealth of experience in marketing and social media, and runs her own company Ethical Hour Ltd. Sian writes, “Mentor Link do fantastic work for children across the region. If we look back we probably all benefited from a mentor at some point in our lives – I definitely did and that’s what led me down the path of starting my own business and making it a reality. I’m really pleased to be able to lend my expertise in marketing strategy and social media to the charity and support them in the fantastic work they do.”
