About Us

How could I make a difference to a child’s life?

There is one thing that many of us have in common.  For most of us, given the chance, really would like to make life better for someone else.  And not just through putting some money into a charity box, but by actually doing something which we find positive and enjoyable.

This is indeed a very noble desire, and it is in fact something that most of us could do.  The only thing that holds us back is that quite often, we don’t know where to start.

We might also wonder if we really have the skills necessary to help someone see life in a different way.   And of course, we might also be concerned about how much of a commitment is involved in taking on some volunteer work and whether we’d have the time.

But the fact is that most people who really do make a difference to other people’s lives simply have one thing in common: that desire to help someone else.  And many people do this for just a few hours a week, so that the rest of life can continue uninterrupted.

The volunteers who we work with and who take on this type of role are known as “Mentors”.

For the most part these are women and men who simply have a desire to help children who, for whatever reason, can’t see their way forward to a brighter, happier life.

If you feel you would like to be help a child, re-consider where they are in life, and how they can move forward, and you can spare an hour a week to undertake this vital work, you could be exactly the person we are looking for.

We’ll provide free, quality training that will not only help you become a mentor but could also be a benefit to you in terms of your own future work.

All your travel expenses will be paid, and you will have on-going support from the dedicated team with whom you work.  But more than anything else you will be providing a vital service to a child who needs help in finding a positive way forward.

Our vision is a world where these young people feel valued and supported.

We have volunteering opportunities in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and West Midlands.
