Children’s Mental Health Week 2019 – Day One

Posted on 04/02/2019

This week is Children’s Mental Health Week 2019, so each day we are sharing with you our knowledge on topics relating to the wellbeing of children.

Day One: Free Online Training

Mentor Link has recently been made aware of a range of free online courses, accredited by established university bodies. Courses of interest include:

Understanding Autism
Young people & their mental health
Youth Mental Health; helping people with anxiety
Understanding Anxiety, Depression and CBT

The courses vary in length from 3-6 weeks typically and the blurb suggests that you should expect to spend 2-6 hours a week studying, depending on the amount of additional reading you undertake. You can ‘upgrade’ by paying around £50 so that you have access to additional study materials and the option of a printed certificate. We’d be interested to know if anyone tries any of these courses.
