Worry Monsters and Hoot the owl

Posted on 31/08/2023

At Mentor Link we provide long term dedicated social, emotional, and therapeutic support to vulnerable and distressed children and young people.

For a child and young person to be able to talk about their worries with a dedicated Mentor, in confidence once a week is invaluable to build a trusting relationship, improve their confidence and self-esteem, feel better about themselves, build positive relationships, and more motivated in their learning.

As part of our therapeutic approach, we have introduced ‘Worry Monsters’ and ‘Wise Owls’ to help children and young people acknowledge, express, and let go of their anxieties and worries, which can help them to process and let go of their feelings.

If you would like to help vulnerable and distressed children and young people and are interested in knitting a Worry Monster or Hoot the Owl, or would like to be a Mentor please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Tel: 01299 822336 enquiries@mentorlink.org.uk www.mentorlink.org.uk
